What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember information between pages or visits, for example whether you have already made a cookie choice, or whether this is a new session. Some of the technologies described below are not cookies but work in a similar way, such as values saved in your browser's local storage.

How Do We Use Cookies?

We group cookies into three categories, matching the options in our cookie banner:

  • Necessary: always active. They keep the site secure and remember your cookie choice. They do not track you across websites.
  • Analytics & Performance: only set if you accept them. We use Google Analytics and HubSpot to understand how visitors find and use the site, and to connect enquiries you submit through our forms with the pages you viewed.
  • Advertising & Targeting: we do not currently use any advertising or targeting cookies. The option exists in Cookie Settings so that, if we ever add advertising tools, they will only run with your consent.

Until you make a choice, and if you click "Reject All", no analytics cookies are set and HubSpot does not load. If you later withdraw consent in Cookie Settings, we stop analytics immediately and delete the Google Analytics and HubSpot cookies from your browser.

We do not currently use any advertising or targeting cookies.

Measurement Without Cookies

Two services measure site usage without setting any cookies:

  • Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and page performance. It does not use cookies, local storage or any identifier that follows you between websites.
  • Google Analytics consent mode. Before you accept analytics cookies, and if you reject them, Google Analytics does not set or read any cookies. It may still receive a basic signal that a page was viewed, which Google uses to produce aggregate estimates. These signals carry no cookie identifier, but like any web request they reach Google with standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type.
